My feet are too wide to feel the treadles. I did put a treadle gate on mine to keep the treadles separated. They're very quiet and easy to treadle and they're very strong too. I think you'll love the loom once you get the feel for it. Liisa is a solid, traditional Scandinavian countermarch loom. Mine is easiest to climb into from the right rear - near the warp beam. Find the easiest route and master your entrance. Take it slow and undeerstand you will likely need to climb inside a few times. That will also help you to check your line through the heddles. They suggested that the advantage of the Eeva is that the side is open for easy access. Webs only has the Eeva model in the store.
1) Eeva or Liisa I understand that they both now come in the 32-shaft option. You also need to tieup with a warp on and under tension. I am on the verge of purchasing a new 32-shaft Toika computer loom I have 2 questions for the group. Tie them up to anything, like plain weave. It does help - even tho you don't need those treadles. I was also advised to tieup two extra treadles just for weight balance. It will allow you to check for shed opening, floor levelness and height of the beater and make adjustments to see what fixes what, without getting too mixed up in cords. The cog wheel tensioning system is not fitted as standard on the Eeva but we include this in the base price unless the customer requests.
